Employer
Employer
Section titled “Employer”An employer in AuditorTax is a registered establishment (a company, factory, or business unit) whose employees, payroll, and statutory filings — EPF, ESI, Professional Tax — you manage. Every employee, payroll run, and challan belongs to exactly one employer, so setting one up is the first thing you do before you can run payroll for it. This is for anyone managing employer accounts in AuditorTax — a Chartered Accountant onboarding a new client, or an in-house user setting up their own company.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You need the establishment’s PAN (Permanent Account Number) — it’s the only tax ID that’s mandatory when creating an employer. GSTIN and TAN can be added later. You’ll also want to know which state the establishment is in, since Professional Tax rules are state-specific.
